Accessibility
Statement on digital accessibility and information on the accessibility of our website.
Our commitment and scope
This English version is provided for convenience. Only the German version is legally binding.
Heynhold Web & Media (HWM Agentur) places great importance on making its website as accessible and barrier-free as possible for everyone, regardless of impairments, abilities or technical requirements.
This accessibility statement applies to the website at https://www.hwm-agentur.de and is based on the requirements of the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG), the European standard EN 301 549 and the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 / 2.2, conformance level AA).
Compliance status
This website is largely compliant with the WCAG 2.1 conformance level AA criteria mentioned above. We are continuously working on improving accessibility and usability.
The accessibility measures implemented include:
- Structured, semantic HTML5 elements for optimal interpretation by screen readers and other assistive technologies.
- Full keyboard operability of the navigation and all interactive functions, including clearly visible focus states.
- A keyboard skip link (“Skip to content”) at the top of the page to jump directly past recurring header and navigation elements.
- High colour contrast for text and functional controls to ensure good readability.
- Support for system settings for reduced motion (“prefers-reduced-motion”) to minimise distracting or irritating animations for sensitive users.
- A responsive and scalable layout that preserves content structure without loss of information, even when zoomed in or on mobile devices.
Known limitations and non-accessible content
Despite our ongoing efforts to make all areas of the website accessible, individual content or elements may currently still present barriers:
- Some complex visual interactions or animation effects may not be fully accessible to certain assistive devices.
- Occasionally, older image files or visual references in the portfolio may still have incomplete alternative text. These are being revised step by step.
- Linked external services (such as our profiles on social media platforms) are outside our direct control; the respective platform operators are responsible for their accessibility.

Purpose and legal basis: Processing is carried out exclusively to receive, review and answer your notice and to remove any technical barriers on our website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (fulfilment of the legal obligation to set up and provide an accessible feedback mechanism under the BFSG) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in ensuring an accessible website and communicating directly with users).
Storage period and disclosure: We process and store your data only for as long as necessary to handle your request. Your data is not passed on to third parties or used for advertising. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Your rights: Under the GDPR you have the right to information about your processed data, the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing and the right to object to processing. For more information, please see our privacy policy.
